The story of my passion

As a teenager, I had a unique opportunity to travel to Japan and discover Tokyo, Kyoto and Mount Fuji. When I came back from this trip, I was fascinated by the history of samurai. A consuming passion that will not fade away! A few years later, I enrolled at the Sorbonne to study Japanese history and culture.

Japan is also a family history for me. When I was 18, I received my first katana from my grandfather. A sort of rite of passage to adulthood. I felt like I had become the heir to a piece of Japanese history.

Since then, my passion has continued to grow. Gradually, I became interested inJapanese tableware. The knives are of particular interest to me. I then regularly cook ramen and sushi at home. And like any good chef, I wear kimono and other Japanese clothes.

The mission of the store

At each stage of my passion, I had the same problem: I could not find quality traditional Japanese products (knives, fans, kimono, etc…) in France.

It was then that I had the idea of creating the Katana Tradition brand, in order to make quality Japanese products available to everyone.

After many months of work, I was able to open the Katana Tradition store. We are proud to offer you a wide range of traditional Japanese products.
